Our Puerto Penasco Restaurant Recommendations:
Since my wife and I discovered Puerto Penasco “Rocky Point” over 10 years ago, we have thoroughly enjoyed venturing around town trying all the various Puerto Penasco restaurants, bars, and taco stands. Rocky Point/Puerto Penasco offers so many food options and cuisines it can definitely be overwhelming, especially if you are only in town for a weekend. Below is the list of our favorite and best restaurants in Puerto Penasco and hopefully this helps you narrow down your restaurant choices for your next trip. Also, if you are interested in our activity recommendations, check out our activities page here.

Chon’s Sonoran Hotdogs
Chon and his wife run a hot dog stand in front of their home. Sonoran beef hot dogs wrapped in bacon with lots of toppings. If you get the salsa on it, it’s very spicy! He’s been selling hot dogs in Peñasco for over 30 years.
Coffee Point
Churros y Elotes Peñasco
Best churros! We like them with “dulce de leche”. Open in the evening.
If you want tacos, these are our go-to places:

Authentic tacos. Inexpensive. My favorite are the El Pastor & Carne Asada tacos.
Asadero Viva México
Authentic tacos in the Malecon. Inexpensive. Lots of tacos toppings.
Pollos Lucas
Whole or half grilled chickens and you make your own tacos. Inexpensive. One of the most popular chicken places in Penasco.
